Harris Discusses Trump’s Immigration Policy

Kamala Harris is back in the spotlight — and it’s just as chaotic as her short-lived 2024 campaign. While promoting her memoir 107 Days in Chicago, the former Vice President sat down with Don Lemon and delivered a dizzying blend of contradictions, political jabs, and what can only be described as selective memory.

One of the most striking moments in the interview came when Harris claimed she’d spoken with Trump voters who now feel “lied to” over immigration enforcement — a statement that would be laughable if it weren’t so brazen. According to Harris, these Trump supporters supposedly expected the president to go after “criminals,” but now feel betrayed that immigration enforcement is impacting “hardworking people.”

Let’s pause right there.

Anyone who followed Donald Trump’s campaign — in 2016, 2020, or 2024 — knows exactly what he promised: secure the border, stop illegal immigration, and restore law and order. That’s been a consistent throughline of his entire political career. There was no secret about it.

If someone voted for Trump and didn’t understand what immigration enforcement actually entails, they weren’t listening. Trump never said, “I’ll only deport the ones with unpaid parking tickets.” He said he would enforce the law — period.

This idea that ICE raids are somehow shocking is disingenuous political theater, and Harris knows it. What’s really happening is that enforcement is working — and that’s making progressive politicians uncomfortable, because it’s revealing just how deeply embedded illegal immigration has become in sanctuary cities like Chicago.

But Harris didn’t stop there. In an effort to reposition herself as a populist underdog — despite having held the second-highest office in the land — she launched into a bizarre tirade about “No Kings” and “multi-generational movements,” accusing Trump of corruption, incompetence, and weaponizing the rule of law.

All while simultaneously acknowledging that the Trump administration deserved credit for brokering the peace deal that freed Israeli hostages from Gaza. You’d need a scorecard to keep up with the contradictions.

And if that wasn’t enough, she then claimed Americans can’t trust the Department of Justice — the same DOJ that, under Biden, pursued investigations and charges against Trump and his allies for nearly four years. The same DOJ that refused to touch Hunter Biden until public pressure forced its hand. That DOJ? Suddenly not trustworthy… because James Comey and Letitia James are facing legal scrutiny?

It’s not just hypocrisy — it’s political gaslighting.
