Heckler Mocks Actress following Ad

Sydney Sweeney walked into the premiere of her new movie Americana on Sunday — and straight into the latest example of woke hysteria on overdrive. As she made her way into Desert Spot 5 in Hollywood, a heckler shouted at her, “Stop the ad. That is being racist,” referencing Sweeney’s recent American Eagle commercial that has inexplicably been labeled… wait for it… Nazi propaganda.

That’s right. A jeans ad. For American Eagle. Is apparently the new Third Reich, according to a gaggle of perpetually online activists.

The ad in question featured Sweeney with the tagline, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans” — a cheesy little wordplay on “genes.” But to the internet’s self-appointed thought police, this was a “dog whistle for Nazi eugenics.” One heavily tattooed, nose-ringed TikToker even proclaimed it would “be in history books” as propaganda. Another genius declared that American Eagle is “faschy coded” and is attempting to “revive the Third Reich.” Still another suggested the ad’s purpose was to “point away from black and brown women.”

So, a lighthearted denim pun = a cultural shift toward whiteness. Got it.

Of course, the media couldn’t resist pouring fuel on the fire, framing the whole thing as a “controversial” cultural flashpoint. BuzzFeed even jumped in to stir more outrage by reporting that Sweeney has been a registered Republican in Florida since 2024 — something she hasn’t confirmed or denied.

White House communications manager Steven Cheung nailed it when he told reporters: “Cancel culture run amok. This warped, moronic, and dense liberal thinking is a big reason why Americans voted the way they did in 2024. They’re tired of this bullshit.”

And then there was President Trump, who was told about Sweeney’s alleged GOP affiliation while returning from New Jersey: “That’s what I wouldn’t have known, but I’m glad you told me that. If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.”

Meanwhile, Sweeney and American Eagle haven’t budged. She’s remained silent on the matter, and the brand is standing by the ad — no apologies, no pandering.
