Questions about voter registration records in Los Angeles County are drawing renewed attention after a Daily Mail report claimed that dozens of high-profile individuals, including actress Jennifer Aniston, are registered to vote using the same commercial office address in West Hollywood.
According to the report, 36 registered voters are listed at Suite 600 of 9200 Sunset Boulevard, an office occupied by Platinum Financial Management, Inc., whose president, Michael Ullman, manages finances for numerous entertainment industry clients.
The report alleges that the address appears on voter registration records for several celebrities, including Aniston, Jenna Dewan, Linda Cardellini, Katheryn Winnick, Nicollette Sheridan, Laura Harrier, Matt Czuchry, Debbie Gibson, and Hamish Linklater.
The obvious question is whether that address is being used as a mailing address or as a legal residence.

Ullman told the Daily Mail that his office is simply where clients receive mail.
“They don’t live here,” he said. “It’s just a mailing address, but it’s not their residential address. So it gets mailed here, but they voted in their area.”
That distinction matters.
Under California law, voters may use a mailing address that differs from where they live, but they must still provide their actual residence or domicile when registering to vote. The California Secretary of State and Los Angeles County both state that a business address or post office box may be used for mailing purposes, but not as a substitute for a voter’s residence.
Amber Hulse, an attorney with the Dhillon Law Group quoted in the report, said that if someone knowingly lists a business office as their residence rather than merely as a mailing address, that could violate California law.
“When you sign up to register to vote, you’re signing under penalty of perjury,” Hulse said. “If, for example, Jennifer Aniston is using it as her residence, when it is clearly not her residence, then it would be illegal.”
Whether any voter actually did that remains an open question.
Los Angeles County spokesperson Michael Sanchez told the Daily Mail that election officials are reviewing the records associated with the address.
“If a voter attests under penalty of perjury that an address constitutes their residence or domicile, and the registration otherwise meets legal requirements, the registration is processed in accordance with state law,” Sanchez said.
As of now, county officials have not announced any findings or alleged that any of the individuals committed voter fraud or violated election laws.

The controversy nevertheless highlights a broader debate over voter registration practices and election integrity.
Election law requires voters to register based on where they legally reside because local races—including city councils, school boards, and municipal offices—depend on geographic boundaries. Registering in the wrong jurisdiction could affect which contests appear on a person’s ballot.
Supporters of stricter election oversight argue that accurate voter rolls are essential to maintaining confidence in elections. Others note that unusual registration records do not necessarily establish wrongdoing and that questions often require further investigation before conclusions can be drawn.
The Daily Mail reported that some registrations tied to the address date back more than two decades, with the earliest dating to 2002. It also reported that Jenna Dewan most recently registered using the address in late 2025 and that Jennifer Aniston’s voter registration was updated in January 2025.
None of the celebrities identified in the report publicly commented on the allegations.
