JD Vance Skewers Heckler and Targets El-Sayed in Dallas Speech

The Vice President was supposed to deliver a standard speech about the upcoming midterm elections in Dallas. That was the plan.

Instead, the room turned into a battleground of words and a heckler tried to shut him down.

Vice President JD Vance took the stage at the Republican midterm convention on Thursday night. He planned to list the achievements of the Trump administration. But a protester with a Mexican flag interrupted the flow.

According to reports, the crowd booed the man immediately. Vance did not skip a beat. He looked right at the disruptor and delivered a line that stopped the room.

If you love Mexico so much, my friend, go get your ass over there. I’ll buy you the plane ticket! he said.

The crowd erupted in cheers. The Vice President then dismissed the man as “an idiot waving … a Mexican flag at a protest when he should be waving the flag of the United States of America.” He told the audience he had to change his whole speech because of the disruption.

Vance did not stop there. He turned his attention to Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Michigan. The two men have been locked in a war of words for weeks.

El-Sayed had mocked Vance recently. He asked if Vance would bring his wife, Usha, back in time to meet Vance’s grandfather. El-Sayed implied that the grandfather would not have loved Usha because she is not white.

Vance addressed this directly on stage. He talked about his Papaw, a man who worked in a steel mill for 40 years. He said his grandfather wanted happy families and low taxes. Then he tore into El-Sayed’s comments.

“Abdul looks at him, sees the color of his skin, and decides that he could never have loved my wife,” Vance said, recounting the attack.

He noted that El-Sayed was raised by his own white step-grandparents. Yet he chose to attack Vance’s family anyway. RedState reported that Vance called out the hypocrisy of the Democrat candidate.

The Vice President used this moment to define the current state of the opposition. He said the Democrats are no longer the party of FDR or JFK. The Vice President added that they no longer represent the party of Bill Clinton.

He accused the party of despising America and the people who built it. He pointed out that they can find sympathy for terrorists but claim people like his grandfather cannot love people like his wife.

He also addressed the economic pain under the previous administration. He told the crowd that housing costs have skyrocketed.

“In just four short years, the cost of a home under Joe Biden doubled,” Vance said.

He added that Americans finishing school are now competing against 25 million new illegal immigrants for jobs. The speech ended with a call to send the “lunatic Democrats” packing. The message was clear: the old rules of politics do not apply anymore.

He told radicals who want to abolish families to “Stay the hell away from our kids.”
