Another individual accused of threatening President Donald Trump has been arrested after authorities allegedly discovered homemade devices in his vehicle and reviewed a series of videos posted online in which he appeared to make threatening statements directed at the president.
According to reporting from journalist Andy Ngo, 33-year-old Christopher Key-Torrion Carnes of Georgia was taken into custody in Raleigh, North Carolina. The arrest came after a police K-9 reportedly alerted officers to the possible presence of explosive materials in Carnes’ vehicle.
Investigators later found PVC pipes and metal pins that authorities say resembled items Carnes had displayed in videos posted on Facebook between May and June.
The News & Observer reported that Carnes had been living out of his Dodge Charger while staying in Raleigh. He reportedly told authorities he had traveled from Georgia to attend church. Court records also indicated that Carnes had been prescribed medication for sleep issues and ADHD but was not taking it because he said it upset his stomach.

Police first encountered Carnes in May in a Target parking lot, but he was not arrested at that time. The situation escalated on June 10 when he voluntarily appeared at the Raleigh Police Department’s Investigative Division.
According to reports, Carnes informed officers that there was a warrant for his arrest before allegedly becoming erratic during the interaction. Authorities subsequently searched his vehicle and discovered devices similar to those shown in his social media videos.
Ngo later shared footage that allegedly showed Carnes speaking directly to Trump. In the video, Carnes identified himself and made profane remarks directed at the president. The footage then reportedly showed him opening the trunk of his vehicle and displaying what he referred to as a “PVC blaster.”
Authorities allege that Carnes challenged Trump while exhibiting the homemade devices.
Following his arrest, Carnes was held on a $500,000 bond.
