A bombshell report is intensifying scrutiny of former Vice President Joe Biden and the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) handling of evidence tying Biden to a bribery scandal.
The allegations were first brought forward by former U.S. Attorney and current New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani during an interview with Newsmax, in which he alleged that a key witness to an alleged bribery scheme tied to Biden died under mysterious circumstances.
According to Giuliani, Justice Department officials were aware of the evidence several years ago but have not taken any action, despite the fact that documents allegedly related to the bribery scandal are still held by the DOJ.
“Of course, this is the most ridiculous, idiotic statement to make on a day in which we find out that the Bidens took a $10 million bribe from a Ukrainian Mykola Zlochevsky, which I could have told you, you know, and did tell [the DOJ] three years ago,” Giuliani said.
To add further fuel to the fire, former chief prosecutor from Ukraine Victor Shokin also claimed in a 2019 interview to have documents that prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Biden is corrupt.
These documents allegedly include evidence of a phone conversation between Biden and Ukraine’s then-president Petro Poroshenko, in which Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid if the Ukrainian prosecutor general was not removed.
The statements from Giuliani and Shokin come as the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, chaired by Kentucky Congressman James Comer, has obtained files from an FBI informant related to the alleged bribery scheme, reportedly showing evidence linking the Biden family.
According to Comer, investigators were conducting a preliminary review in 2020 but had yet to proceed with any subsequent action.
This was then refuted by former U.S. attorney general William Barr who said the investigation was still alive and active.
In response to the outrage regarding the allegations, the Biden Campaign released a statement denying any involvement and criticizing the timing of this news, with a campaign spokesman saying, “it‘s no surprise Rudy Giuliani and his cronies are once again trotting out demonstrably false claims.
“They have been pushing these debunked conspiracy theories about the Biden family for four years and have found no evidence of wrongdoing because there is none.”
The Biden campaign also accused Giuliani and company of having a “calculated political motivation to distract the public ahead of the election.”
At this time, the DOJ is still yet to take any action on the mounting evidence, and the American people wait for more information to come out.
