Let’s talk about the recent buzz around former President Donald Trump and his sharp critique of Joe Biden’s latest address to the nation. On Wednesday night, Trump took to his Truth Social app to express his disdain for Biden’s speech, which he watched from his private jet, ‘Trump Force One,’ after a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Trump didn’t hold back, describing Biden’s speech as “barely understandable” and “sooo bad!” This critique came just after Biden addressed the nation for the first time since announcing his decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, a decision he attributed to a desire to unite the party and “save democracy.”
However, Trump’s interpretation was far from charitable, accusing Biden of using his withdrawal as a ploy to improve Democratic chances in the upcoming election.
Following his initial post, Trump continued his online assault, turning his attention to Vice President Kamala Harris, who has become the presumed Democratic candidate for 2024. He labeled both Biden and Harris as major embarrassments to America, claiming that there has never been a time like this in the nation’s history.
During his rally in Charlotte, Trump wasted no time shifting his focus from Biden to Harris. He made several bold accusations, including a claim that Harris supports late-term abortions and even infanticide, which he used to rile up the crowd of 10,000 supporters at Bojangles Coliseum.
The former president also addressed issues like the border crisis and the U.S. relationship with Israel, but his primary target was Harris’s record on abortion. He accused her of being a “lunatic” who is in favor of abortions up to and even after birth, a statement met with massive jeers from the audience.
Trump also criticized Harris for her handling of the southern border crisis, where she was put in charge by Biden. He claimed that her tenure as “border czar” resulted in a significant increase in illegal immigration, including dangerous criminals entering the country. Trump vowed to reverse all of Biden’s border policies on his first day back in office if re-elected, promising to seal the border and end what he termed as Harris’s “invasion.”
In a surprising twist, Trump suggested that the solution to national defense failures could involve firing U.S. generals and replacing them with NASCAR drivers and football coaches. He argued that their strategic skills in their respective fields could translate into effective military leadership.
During the rally, NASCAR stars Roger Penske and Richard Childress were present, with Childress even taking the stage to introduce Trump. He became emotional while recalling Trump’s tribute to the families who lost loved ones in the Afghanistan withdrawal.
