Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) today released an unclassified FD-1023, generated by the FBI, that alleges criminal activity by then-Vice President Joe Biden and a Ukrainian business executive. Grassley obtained the document through legally protected whistleblower disclosures from the Department of Justice.
In the FD-1023, a confidential human source from the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, which had employed Biden’s son, Hunter, stated that they had placed Hunter on the board to be “protected through his dad from all kinds of problems.” The Burisma CEO, Mykola Zlochevsky, reportedly told the source that he had to pay $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden. He referred to this as ‘poluchili’, a Russian phrase that means to be “forced or coerced to pay.”
The document also claims that Zlochevsky had two recordings with Joe Biden and 15 recordings with Hunter Biden, as well as two documents that served as evidence of the payoff. He additionally stated that it would take investigators 10 years to uncover the illicit payments to the Bidens.
James Comer, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman, commented on the discovery, saying “The FBI’s Biden Bribery Record tracks closely with the evidence uncovered by the Oversight Committee’s Biden family influence-peddling investigation.”
The release of this FD-1023 marks the latest development in a long saga of efforts to uncover the truth of the Biden family’s involvement with Burisma. Grassley commented on the FBI-generated record, saying “What did the Justice Department and FBI do with the detailed information in the document? And why have they tried to conceal it from Congress and the American people for so long?”
Grassley and Comer have vowed to uncover what the Department of Justice and FBI have been concealing from the American people for so long. It remains to be seen what their additional findings will be and if any further detail on this FD-1023 and the alleged criminal bribery scheme will come to light.
