Business Insider Africa noted that the announcement did not name the specific officials. It also did not list the exact laws triggering the ban. Unfair treatment of South Africa has been repeatedly accused by the White House. South Africa’s foreign ministry called these claims “fringe groups.” They say their policies fix old apartheid inequalities. But the US sees it differently. Rubio says the US remains “gravely concerned about racially motivated crime.”
