Trump Posts Video On Social Media Following Gabbard Report

President Donald Trump ignited a political firestorm Sunday evening after posting an AI-generated video depicting former President Barack Obama being arrested by FBI agents and imprisoned—an unmistakably symbolic gesture following escalating accusations surrounding the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.

The video, posted to Trump’s Truth Social account, portrays a fictional scenario in which FBI agents interrupt a meeting in the Oval Office, handcuff Obama, and escort him to prison. The clip concludes with mugshots of several prominent former officials, including James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, and Susan Rice—all of whom are tied to the now-discredited Trump-Russia investigation.

The dramatic post came just one day after Trump publicly suggested that prosecution of Obama and other top Obama-era officials may be warranted, citing newly declassified intelligence briefings made public by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. According to the December 2016 documents, Obama and his top national security aides were allegedly aware that the Trump-Russia collusion claims lacked evidence but moved forward with the narrative regardless—allegedly coordinating with media outlets to propagate the story.

“This wasn’t just bad judgment—it was a calculated effort to deceive the American public,” said White House spokesman Harrison Fields during a Saturday night appearance on Fox News. “Obama’s hands are on this,” Fields continued, describing the former president as “acting like his whole career was everything and a bag of chips,” while in reality overseeing “the most corrupt presidency we have ever seen.”

Trump praised Fields’ remarks shortly after, calling him “young and talented” and commending the Fox News panel for “fantastic” commentary on prosecuting Obama and the “thugs” implicated in what Trump labeled the highest-level election fraud in U.S. history. He also congratulated Tulsi Gabbard for her role in declassifying the briefing documents and promised more revelations to come.

Critics immediately condemned the video and Trump’s comments as inflammatory and reckless. Supporters, however, view the imagery and rhetoric as a direct challenge to what they see as years of political weaponization of federal agencies and media collusion against Trump.
