On Easter Sunday, while Americans across the country gathered to celebrate one of the holiest days in the Christian calendar, the Democratic Party’s official X account rolled out a seemingly harmless greeting—complete with vintage snapshots of past Democratic presidents enjoying the Easter season at the White House.
But if you blinked, or perhaps if you didn’t, you may have noticed someone conspicuously absent from the lineup: President Joe Biden.

The post featured four well-known figures: John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama. Four decades, four Easter smiles—and not a single photo of the most recent Democrat to occupy the Oval Office. No Joe. Not even a passing mention. Not even a cropped elbow. Nothing.
For many, the omission read less like a mistake and more like a deliberate act of political erasure, Soviet-style. Yes, even Jimmy Carter—whose one-term presidency is frequently cited as the standard of economic and geopolitical dysfunction—made the cut. But Joe Biden, a sitting president just months removed from leaving office in electoral defeat, was edited out like he never existed.
Here is a reminder of when Sleepy Joe Biden had to be led away from reporters by the Easter Bunny.

And let’s be honest, this wasn’t just an oversight from some distracted intern managing a social media queue. The DNC also posted the same four-image format on Bluesky, which, like X, limits users to four photos per post. Their other platforms, like Facebook and Instagram, did include Biden—but tacked him on at the end, like an obligatory afterthought in a timeline he once led. It was a clear choice. And that choice spoke volumes.
The Democrats have a Biden problem—and they know it. He’s become a walking reminder of a presidency marred by economic mismanagement, cognitive decline, and an astonishing inability to project leadership. Whether it was the infamous 2022 Easter Bunny incident, where an aide in costume redirected him away from reporters, or his awkward complaints that same year about being “not allowed” to read Easter stories to children, the optics of Biden’s public appearances have often bordered on tragicomedy.

And while the party desperately tried to keep him cloistered from unscripted media interactions in his final year in office, the damage had already been done. His eventual decision to step aside in the 2024 race—after weeks of internal party pressure—came too late to save Democrats from defeat. President Donald Trump’s victory, both in the Electoral College and popular vote, is still being processed by a party now looking to rewrite history in real-time.
But it wasn’t just Biden who was missing from the DNC’s post. As many pointed out, what was also glaringly absent was any mention of the actual meaning of Easter. No recognition of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, no reverence for the sacredness of the day. Just curated images of past Democratic leaders with their families—public ritual without spiritual substance.
Remember when the Easter Bunny and Jill tried to get Biden to shut up and leave ?? Here’s the other angle 👍 🤣😂 pic.twitter.com/nq7HwGlatl

It wasn’t only the party’s main account either. From Kamala Harris to Barack Obama, the Democratic leadership’s Easter posts avoided any reference to the faith at the heart of the holiday. Obama at least wished followers a “blessed day,” while Biden’s post, which did include his children and grandchildren (minus Hunter, and notably, Beau and Navy), drew criticism not only for its tone but for its appearance. Some claimed Joe looked photoshopped—an odd angle, standing while others sat, fueling speculation about image staging, especially given recent disclosures of White House media manipulation.
