New surveillance footage has been released by Fox News host Tucker Carlson from the January 6 riot that seems to show a pair of Capitol police officers guarding and escorting a man known as the “QAnon Shaman,” one Jacob CHansley, all through the building.
Carlson revealed the footage in the wake of being allowed entirely exclusive access from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to a cache of close to 40,000 hours of video that recorded the events of that fateful day. “Virtually every moment of his time inside the Capitol was caught on tape,” stated Carlson as part of the segment. “The tapes show the Capitol police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”
“Not one of them even tried to slow him down,” Carlson went on, all prior to suggesting that Chansley “understood that the Capitol police were his allies.”
“If he was in the act of committing such a grave crime, why didn’t the officers standing right next to him place him under arrest?” Carlson questioned.
As one of the most easily recognizable faces from that chaotic day, Chansley chose to plead guilty to obstructing an official proceeding and was issued a sentence of 41 months in prison.

Carlson also made public footage of Brian Sicknick, an officer of the Capitol Police force, which he claims was taken “after he was supposedly murdered by the mob outside.”
A report from the New York Times claimed that Sicknick was killed when he was struck in the head by rioters using a fire extinguisher. The local media outlets later retracted to report that, in the wake of an autopsy, it was discovered that he died from a stroke the next day.

A statement was issued by the U.S. Capitol Police on APril 19,2021, stating that the District of Columbia’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner officially ruled that Sicknick “died of natural causes.”
“This does not change the fact Officer Sicknick died in the line of duty, courageously defending Congress and the Capitol,” the ESCP made the claim via a release. “The attack on our officers, including Brian, was an attack on our democracy.”
Carlson also stated that the video evidence highlights Ray Epps, whose presence at the riot taking place at the Capitol has ended up raising questions, Lied while under oath when he explained to investigators that he was actually at his hotel when he messaged his nephew he “orchestrated” protests at the Capitol.
“The surveillance footage we found shows that, in fact, Ray Epps remained at the Capitol for at least another half an hour,” explained Carlson. “What was Epps doing there? We can’t say. But we do know that he lied to investigators.”
