When Kamala Harris ascended to the top of the Democratic ticket, it wasn’t just her policy agenda that shifted into the spotlight, but also a certain high-profile X account—formerly known as “Biden’s Wins”—which rebranded itself to “Kamala’s Wins” in July 2024. This account, now boasting over 765,000 followers, has become a hub for promoting Harris, while allegedly spreading false narratives, all while being operated by someone with deep connections to the Biden-Harris administration.
At the center of this is Ethan Wolf, a communications specialist for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, who originally founded the “Biden’s Wins” account in 2022. His account quickly grew in influence, gaining the favor of high-ranking White House officials like Ron Klain, Biden’s former chief of staff. In a short span of time, Wolf was invited to private briefings at the White House and ultimately earned a position within the administration. However, this timeline raises questions about the ethical implications of his dual roles.

Wolf’s shift from political influencer to government employee has drawn attention, especially with concerns that his running of the “Kamala’s Wins” account could violate the Hatch Act, which bars federal employees from engaging in political activities while on the job.
This law is meant to keep partisan politics out of federal workspaces, but Wolf’s active promotion of Harris while employed by the administration raises potential legal issues. If Wolf is indeed running the account while on duty, it would be another case of a Biden administration official flouting this law—a list that already includes figures like Ron Klain and HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.
Beyond the Hatch Act concerns, “Kamala’s Wins” has been criticized for pushing false claims. The account has spread misinformation about Trump and even floated the bizarre claim that NFL quarterbacks like Joe Burrow participated in a “White Dudes for Harris” fundraising call, which was swiftly debunked. It has also painted a misleadingly rosy picture of the Biden-Harris administration, with claims that inflation and grocery prices have plummeted under their watch—assertions that fact-checkers have repeatedly disproven.
Happy birthday, @POTUS. Thanks for all your doing for our great nation. Special thank you for giving young leaders a seat at your table. pic.twitter.com/7zaRSFzBm5

Compounding the controversy is the commercial aspect of Wolf’s activities. His “Biden’s Wins” account was part of a broader business venture, “Democratic Wins Media LLC,” which has allegedly profited from reposting campaign material for Democratic candidates like Shadia Martini, raising ethical concerns about the financial side of his political influence.
Wolf’s involvement with the Democratic Party began early—he helped launch “Jews 4 Joe” as a college student at Ohio State, which put him on the White House’s radar. But some of his other ventures, like the creation of a bizarre “Jews 4 Kanye” X account, have only added to the questions surrounding his political motivations and actions.
